My System/systems in general

Music was meant to be heard!, not compressed & played on tin cans, hours & hours are spent in the studio perfecting the sound, capturing vocals & each instrument, so that the listener can hear them them all, but to many people out there, miss out on alot of the detail in their music, simply because of poor speakers, that compress the frequency bands, into a tiny driver, if they only knew what they were missing.

Now as for system, i run a marantz 2270 receiver, Realistic wide band Frequency Dual 10 band EQ, an original Sony Play station as my cd player, a marantz sd 221 tape deck, marantz TT400 direct drive turntable & Pro Linear PL50's,  i'am able to run my system like separate components, as my 2270 has main in & pre out jumpers, so with the jumpers disconnected, i run my EQ between the Pre Amp & Amp, the result is really tight crisp sound, my PL50's have a cloth surround, & are rated for 50 watts @ 8Omhs, & Frequency ratting of 28hz to 20khz, the bass is quite tight & responsive, the mids are quite clear & the highs sparkling clear, so far the best speakers i've ever owned to date.

now a good system does not, have to cost alot of money, garage sales, thrift stores, online classifieds are all a good source for cheap equipment, you can build a good system for under $100, that will give you good sound & not sound like a tin can.
